Accounts Payable Clerk

• Enter high-volume invoices into the accounting system with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts for verification (basic 2‑ or 3‑way match as needed).
• Code invoices to correct general ledger accounts based on provided instructions.
• Review data for errors or missing information and follow up as needed.
• Maintain digital and physical AP files in an organized and easily retrievable manner.
• Assist with weekly payment runs, including printing checks and preparing remittance documentation.
• Process vendor updates, W‑9 forms, and address changes.
• Respond to routine vendor inquiries regarding invoice status or payment dates.
• Assist with AP aging review and basic month-end tasks.
• Support other administrative functions within the accounting department as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior accounting or data entry experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong typing and data entry accuracy.
• Familiarity with basic accounting systems or ERP software is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
