Manager, SEC Reporting

Position Summary

The SEC Reporting Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the reporting of financial statements in compliance with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal controls, as well as strong management skills. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities are also essential for effectively interpreting complex accounting matters and fostering continuous improvement in accounting operations.

In This Role, You Will

• Manage the preparation and submission of all external financial reporting documents and related filings required by the SEC
• Supervise and provide mentorship to team members
• Oversee the accounting and related disclosures for stock-based compensation, acquisitions, and other technical areas
• Review the monthly consolidated financial statements including statement of equity, statement of cash flows, and earnings per unit
• Comply with all established SOX financial reporting controls
• Prepare technical accounting memorandums for submission to management and auditors
• Assist in continuously improving the automation of accounting and reporting processes
• Perform other financial accounting duties, as assigned

What We Require

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, majoring in Accounting
• CPA with five (5) - ten (10) years of public company or public accounting experience
• Experience in the oil & gas industry along with SOX compliance preferred
• Precise computation skills and rapid problem-solving ability
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and financial/operational understanding
• Highly developed knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel
• Solid interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build relationships in a small team environment
