Billing Clerk

Job Description Overview

A well-established and growing automotive organization is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join its accounting team. This role supports vehicle billing and funding processes and works closely with accounting and management to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of all transactions. • Review vehicle deals for accuracy and compliance using established checklists
• Post vehicle sales transactions to the accounting ledger
• Record sales commissions and incentive payments
• Post-funding on vehicle sales
• Prepare check requests for trade payoffs
• Send contracts and payoff documentation to lenders
• Maintain contracts in transit schedules and follow up to ensure timely funding
• Update notes and documentation related to billing schedules
• Respond to inbound phone calls related to billing inquiries
• Maintain a professional appearance and an organized work area
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Two or more years of automotive billing or dealership accounting experience preferred
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including drug testing and background check
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and high level of accuracy
