Construction Accountant

This role manages the full billing process especially for high volume Time & Material (T&M) contracts and works closely with project teams and client accounting departments.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit accurate client invoices based on contract terms (T&M, cost?plus, unit price, lump sum). Maintain T&M billing reports and distribute them to clients and internal teams. Work with Project Managers to gather documentation and approve billing. Track invoice approvals, monitor aging, and help reduce DSO. Resolve billing issues with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Keep organized, audit?ready billing files.

Review vendor invoices in the ERP system with Site Office Managers or AP Manager. Verify quantities, pricing, delivery confirmations, and PO compliance. Ensure timely posting of project costs for accurate job?cost reporting. Prepare job cost reports, cost?to?date summaries, and financial analyses. Assist with month?end close, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Support project closeout activities, including cost validation and documentation. Complete additional project?related

tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. 3+ years of accounting experience (construction experience preferred). Strong knowledge of construction billing and contract requirements.

Experience with construction accounting/ERP systems (Viewpoint Vista preferred). Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data reconciliation). Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem?solving ability. Effective communication and ability to work cross?functionally. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast?paced environment.
