Accounting Specialist

MHW Search has exclusively partnered with a reputable Residential and Commercial Title firm in Houston that is in search of an Accounting Specialist to support their accounting and title operations team. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing a high volume of bank accounts, supporting daily accounting operations, and assisting with title company accounting functions in a detail-oriented and process-driven environment.

• Manage and reconcile approximately 100 bank accounts across multiple entities and transactions
• Support daily accounting operations including account balancing, reporting, and transaction processing.
• Assist with title company accounting functions and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Work closely with Controller Julie Elliott to support operational and accounting needs.
• Handle repetitive and process-oriented tasks with a high level of accuracy and consistency.
• Utilize Soft Pro software for title and accounting related functions.

• 2+ years of accounting experience required; title company accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with Soft Pro software highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in a repetitive, process-driven role.
• Seeking candidates interested in long-term stability within the position rather than advancement into a Controller-level role.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
