Staff Accountant Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations across multiple entities
• Assist with month-end close procedures, balance sheet reconciliations, and income statement analysis
• Maintain fixed asset schedules including additions, retirements, and transfers
• Perform bank reconciliations, lease accounting entries, and intercompany reconciliations
• Review and approve weekly AP check runs and assist with P&L review processes
• Support external audit requests and provide documentation as needed
• Collaborate with payroll, AP, and operational teams to gather accounting support and resolve discrepancies

Staff Accountant Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 1-3 years of accounting experience required
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• ERP exposure preferred; experience with Great Plains or Wolfe Pak is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally across departments
