Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Houston, Texas in a contract-to-permanent position. This onsite opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced accounting environment and can manage high-volume invoice activity with accuracy. The role focuses on supporting daily payables operations, maintaining vendor records, and ensuring timely expense and reporting processes.

Responsibilities:

- Process a steady volume of daily invoices while verifying accuracy, approvals, and proper account coding.

- Review and enter both purchase order and non-purchase order invoices in accordance with company procedures.

- Maintain vendor records by updating account details and resolving discrepancies to support accurate payments.

- Handle expense report processing through Concur and ensure submissions meet policy and documentation requirements.

- Prepare weekly accounts payable aging reports and highlight outstanding items requiring follow-up.

- Support check run activities by organizing payment batches and confirming invoice readiness for disbursement.

- Investigate invoice issues, coordinate with internal teams and vendors, and help drive timely resolution of payment questions. Requirements - Previous experience in accounts payable or a closely related accounting support role.

- Working knowledge of invoice coding, invoice entry, and payment processing procedures.

- Ability to manage both PO and non-PO invoices with strong attention to detail.

- Experience supporting check runs and monitoring accounts payable status reports.

- Familiarity with Concur expense processing or similar expense management software.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in an onsite work environment.

- Proficiency with standard office and accounting systems, including data entry and record maintenance.
