This role offers visibility, stability, and the ability to take ownership of complex properties in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties, including monthly close, financial reporting, and reconciliations
* Review and analyze operating statements, general ledger activity, and variance reporting
* Prepare and post journal entries (cash and accrual basis) with a high level of accuracy
* Perform and review monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
* Partner closely with property management teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting deliverables
* Review tenant billings, cash applications, and aged receivables to ensure accuracy and proper allocation
* Support annual budgeting processes, CAM reconciliations, and escalation calculations
* Ensure compliance with internal controls, management agreements, and reporting requirements
* Monitor cash flow activity, including funding requests, inter-account transfers, and disbursement oversight
* Assist with audit support, including responding to external auditors and preparing requested documentation
* Prepare owner distributions and related supporting calculations
* Maintain organized financial records and reporting documentation within internal systems
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* 4+ years of property accounting experience within commercial real estate environments
* Strong understanding of GAAP and both cash and accrual accounting methods
* Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis
* Exposure to CAM reconciliations, tax escalations, and operating expense recoveries preferred
* Experience with real estate accounting systems such as Yardi or MRI
* Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
