Staff Accountant

Corrpro Companies is looking for a Staff Accountant
. Corrpro, a subsidiary of Azuria Water Solutions Company, is a corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and corrosion monitoring business for the protection and preservation of infrastructure. Corrpro provides professional corrosion consulting and cathodic protection engineering services to major oil companies, government agencies, municipal water, sewer and gas utilities, universities, and public transportation agencies.

• Provide accounting, reporting and financial analysis support to the Controller and other accounting staff
• Analyze, reconcile, balance and maintain accounting records
• Create and enter journal entries including expense accruals
• Maintain construction in progress project accounting
• Assist with monthly close, and with the preparation of monthly financial reports
• Analyze intercompany transactions
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly reports
• Prepare audit work papers and assist in audits
• Monitor expenses for departments to ensure compliance with standard accounting procedures
• Assist in preparation of regularly scheduled tax reporting requirements. Assist with ad hoc analysis and other accounting requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting
• 0 to 3 years of accounting experience
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Solid understanding of GAAP concepts
• Must be ambitious, eager to learn and possess strong work ethic
• Must be a strong communicator with experience taking initiative and functioning independently
• Must have ability to identify trends and variances
• Experience with ERP such as JD Edwards and Hyperion, preferred
