Senior Manager, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting
Key Responsibilities- SEC Reporting
- Lead end‑to‑end preparation, review, and filing of all SEC reports, including Forms 10‑K, 10‑Q, 8‑K, and earnings releases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with SEC regulations and U.S. GAAP.
- Oversee the development and review of financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, disclosure checklists, and supporting documentation, including tie‑outs and XBRL tagging through Workiva and Wdata.
- Coordinate closely with Business Units, FP&A, Tax, Investor Relations, and other stakeholders to gather inputs and produce high‑quality disclosures.
- Support the earnings release process, review press releases and investor presentations, and partner with external auditors to manage quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Technical Accounting
- Evaluate and resolve complex and non‑routine accounting matters through technical research and assessment of alternatives.
- Develop and document accounting positions via formal technical memos, partnering with the SOX team to design and implement effective controls.
- Own the accounting policy manual, ensuring timely updates for new pronouncements and business changes, and communicate impacts across the organization.
- Monitor FASB and SEC developments, assess impact, and lead implementation efforts to ensure compliance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to finance leadership and business units, guiding on complex transactions and supporting operationalization of accounting solutions.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification required.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including strong experience in SEC reporting and technical accounting.
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal control environments.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex accounting topics clearly.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to drive initiatives to completion.
- Demonstrated leadership, ownership, and accountability.
- Big Four public accounting experience.
- Experience with complex project‑based or percentage‑of‑completion accounting.
- Experience with financial systems and reporting tools such as Workiva, Oracle FCCS, and XBRL.
