We are seeking an experienced technical accounting and financial reporting professional to support the preparation and delivery of external financial reporting for a large public company environment. This role will be responsible for SEC reporting activities, technical accounting research, financial statement disclosures, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Duration: Full Time/Perm
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and support SEC filings including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other regulatory filings using Workiva.
- Assist with the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements, footnotes, disclosures, and supporting schedules.
- Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of XBRL tagging and reporting requirements.
- Research and evaluate new accounting pronouncements under US GAAP, SEC regulations, and IFRS, and assist with implementation efforts.
- Perform technical accounting research and provide accounting guidance on complex transactions and reporting matters.
- Support the preparation and review of earnings releases, investor presentations, proxy statements, and other external reporting materials.
- Coordinate information requests and support activities related to internal and external audits.
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, Investor Relations, Legal, and business stakeholders to resolve reporting issues and ensure compliance.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in special projects related to financial reporting and compliance.
- Manage multiple priorities and filing deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 4+ years of experience with a Big 4 accounting firm and/or public company financial reporting environment.
- Hands‑on experience preparing and/or reviewing SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and financial statement disclosures.
- Experience with Workiva and XBRL reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and technical accounting research skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with large publicly traded companies.
- Knowledge of IFRS reporting requirements.
- Experience with consolidation and financial reporting systems such as Oracle, Hyperion, SAP, or FCCS.
- Prior exposure to investor relations support, earnings releases, and public company presentations.
- Experience leading special projects and process improvement initiatives.
