Position OverviewAs a Distributor Accounting Clerk, you will perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks, including maintaining records, preparing reports, reconciling distributor statements, and operating accounting software such as SAP. You will also handle office duties as needed.
Responsibilities- Process and post weekly distributor territory accounting data (expenses and payments, including uniform and health insurance costs, truck leases, and manual adjustments).
- Process and post weekly open and company territory accounting data (reconciliation and expenses).
- Process applicable statements.
- Review distributor reconciliation/payment proposal reports for approval.
- Research, track, and resolve distributor accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
- Investigate data as needed and reconcile external data (hand‑held) to company data for accuracy.
- Assist with telephone answering, greeting guests, and other receptionist duties as assigned.
- Perform general office duties such as reports, schedules, filing, etc. as needed.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Practice and comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and work rules.
- Perform other duties deemed by management to be a critical part of the job, including work scheduling, attendance policies, and other operating rules.
- Retrieve and replace work‑related material (files, documents, etc.) from storage areas.
- Meet FDA and CDC guidelines on public safety for work in a food manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with all accounting procedures and strong attention to detail.
Minimum of 7 years of accounting or related experience.
EssentialJob Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in accounting an added advantage.
Salary Range$41,674.60 – $46,061.40 per year.
