Senior Accountant

Harmer has partnered with a growing organization seeking a Senior Accountant to join their accounting team. This position offers broad exposure across financial reporting, month-end close, operational accounting, and business partnering, providing strong visibility to leadership and opportunities for long-term growth.

• Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies
• Perform variance analysis and communicate key business drivers to management
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Review balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting documentation
• Support external audits and coordinate requests from auditors
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and internal control enhancements
• Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends and opportunities
• Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams on accounting and reporting matters
• Support special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Approximately 3‑7 years of accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting and industry experience
• Big 4 or large regional public accounting experience strongly preferred
• Actively pursuing CPA certification or CPA license preferred
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
