Bookkeeper

Location: Houston, TX

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay Rate: $24–$27/hour

Our client, a well-established Houston-based small business, is adding a Part-Time Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting and payroll operations. This is a newly created role due to business needs.

The position is primarily transactional in nature and does not include financial statement preparation.

• Approx. 25 hours per week
• In-office, Monday–Friday (about 5 hours/day)

• Process payroll for approximately 5 employees
• Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records
• Update and manage Excel spreadsheets for tracking/reporting
• Assist with bookkeeping cleanup and organization
• Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and timely completion of tasks

• 2+ years of bookkeeping experience
• Strong working knowledge of Quick Books
• Solid Excel skills (formulas, sorting, basic reporting)
• Payroll experience, preferably in a small business environment
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage routine deadlines
