Staff Accountant

Tarvos Talent is partnering with a well-established and rapidly growing organization in the services industry that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its Houston-based accounting team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to gain broad exposure across the month‑end close process, financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives while working alongside a collaborative leadership team.

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close activities
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Support financial reporting and audit requests
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Assist with process improvements and special projects
• Partner with operations and cross‑functional teams on accounting‑related matters

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month‑end close processes
• Advanced Excel skills preferred
• ERP system experience required
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
