Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the Company’s day-to-day accounting and reporting functions including the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process to support the preparation of monthly management reports and the company’s required 10-Q and 10-K SEC filings.
- Prepare and/or review monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
- Assist with preparation of management reporting package.
- Prepare, record, analyze and report accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies.
- Coordinate and collaborate with peers within the company as well as Accounting, to ensure processes are created and performed efficiently and accurately.
- Interface with external auditors with respect to the company’s financial statements.
- Assist with certain accounting and internal control functions as needed.
- Other accounting and special projects as requested.
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Big 4 accounting experience is a plus.
- Strong US GAAP knowledge.
- Experience with SAP S4/RISE is a plus.
- Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with senior management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- CPA in good standing preferred.
This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax machines, filing cabinets, etc. This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.
PHYSICALDEMANDS
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as required in order to lift files, boxes and office equipment as necessary.
- Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend, stand on a stool, or climb as necessary to perform these functions.
- While performing the duties of this role, the incumbent may be required to talk or hear.
- The incumbent is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to move throughout all areas of each office/site location and facilities.
- Able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.
