Our client is a renewable energy IPP seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to lead financial reporting, general ledger management, and compliance activities. You will directly oversee a small team, ensuring accurate month-end close processes. and driving improvements in accounting operations and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily accounting operations, reviewing work prepared by staff and ensuring adherence to internal controls and GAAP.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Prepare and review internal financial reports and support external audit requirements, including SOX compliance activities.
• Review and approve accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate general ledger classification.
• Maintain and update chart of accounts and recommend improvements to expense coding and reporting structures.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial compliance related to project and operational accounting.
• Support external auditors with audit schedules, reconciliations, and documentation requests.
• Evaluate business processes for efficiencies and assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years in a managerial role required
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and corporate accounting standards.
• Experience in renewable energy or infrastructure industries is a plus.
