Job Profile Summary
Performs detailed operational, SOX compliance, financial audits. Documents findings.
Job Description- Gathers substantive data from accounting records, operational reports, interviews with company/department personnel and observations.
- Reviews, analyzes, and identifies internal control weaknesses and non‑compliance with corporate or department policies and procedures.
- Conducts internal audits and documents findings in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors Global Internal Audit Standards and Internal Audit Department policies and procedures.
- Submit documented findings to the lead auditor for review and consolidation.
- Escalates significant audit concerns and issues to the lead auditor timely.
- May lead small scope and lesser impact audits; escalates significant concerns and issues to audit management.
- Responsible for tracking time by significant audit program segment and providing time to the lead auditor each Monday.
- Inform lead auditor of approved time‑off affecting availability.
- Maintain current industry regulatory knowledge that could affect the company’s policies and procedures.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, General Business or a related discipline. - Certified or candidate for certification (CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE).
- Experience:
At least two (2) years of corporate internal auditing experience.
- Strong risk assessment and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Proficient with GRC applications and the Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Ability to clearly articulate complex ideas, and creative problem solving abilities.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to quickly access problems and identify workable solutions.
