Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Interim Senior Manager, specializing in Technical Accounting & Reporting within the Energy industry. This role will provide you with an opportunity to leverage your expertise in managing and coordinating accounting and reporting activities, delivering insights, and driving business performance. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in accounting and reporting, with a deep understanding of the energy sector.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical accounting and reporting function within the organization, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Drive the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures, while ensuring they align with the company's strategic objectives.
• Manage and coordinate the preparation of internal and external financial reports, providing accurate and timely information to stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with other departments to provide financial insights and recommendations that support decision‑making and strategic planning.
• Utilize tools such as Workiva and Power BI to enhance reporting capabilities and deliver data‑driven insights.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the organization's accounting and reporting practices remain compliant and competitive.
• Lead special projects and initiatives as required, demonstrating strong project management skills and a commitment to excellence.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical accounting and reporting, preferably within the energy industry.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
• Previous experience in a Big 4 accounting firm highly desirable.
• Proficiency in advanced reporting tools such as Workiva and Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex information clearly.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
