Accounting Specialist

This position will be responsible for performing key accounting functions related to the monthly close process, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.

• Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities, including entering journal entries and maintaining supporting documentation.
• Assist with loan funding and closing processes to ensure timely and accurate completion of financing transactions.
• Maintain fixed asset records for both book and tax purposes, including depreciation calculations.
• Handle sales tax filings for applicable jurisdictions.
• Assist with preparation of year-end audit documentation.
• Maintain organized accounting files and documentation.
• Assist senior management with other projects as required.

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; relevant accounting experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years of progressive accounting experience required.
• Working knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Quick Books and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
