We are seeking a detailed-oriented Accounting Specialist to support the company’s financial operations by managing journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities while ensuring accurate financial records and audit readiness.
Responsibilities- Accounting Operations: Prepare and post journal entries, perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations, and maintain accurate financial records in support of the monthly close process.
- Document Management: Maintain a rigorous filing system for all financial records, invoices, and receipts to ensure audit readiness.
- Timeline Adherence: Maintain organized financial documentation and supporting schedules to ensure audit readiness and compliance with internal controls.
- Proactive Communication: Practice proactive Report
- Inform
- Consult to ensure transparency and early identification of issues. - Financial Review & Analysis: Review accounting transactions and reconciliations to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Minimum of three (3) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience supporting general ledger activities and financial close processes.
- Core
Competency:
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger processes. - Soft Skills: Excellent organizational skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Reliability: High level of integrity in handling sensitive financial data and documentation.
- Technical
Skills:
Strong familiarity with Quick Books and Net Suite or similar accounting software.
- Experience in supporting Tax filings.
- Prior experience in Treasury support (e.g., processing wire transfers).
- Familiarity with internal controls and audit documentation practices.
- While English is the working language, any level of Japanese is a plus.
