ABOUTTHE ROLE
The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting strategic decision-making through detailed reporting and analysis. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, deep knowledge of US GAAP, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small, high-performing team.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare manual journal entries in compliance with company policies
- Prepare journal entries by classifying and coding data and reconciling ledger accounts
- Prepare detailed account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner
- Reconcile all US bank accounts
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts in Blackline
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages
- Investigate and explain account details and variances from expectations
- Perform detailed analysis of general ledger accounts and issue reports on findings
- Review purchase orders and resolve cost discrepancies
- Set and amend transfer pricing policy
- Participate in organizing, staffing, and auditing during annual physical inventory counts
- Function as project manager or specialist for specific assignments
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years of business experience performing detailed accounting work
- Experience in a manufacturing organization
- Deep knowledge of computerized management information systems
- Clear understanding of US GAAP
- Strong understanding of accounting processes and procedures
- Basic understanding of business ethics
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Spanish-speaking skills are a plus
- Ability to analyze complex datasets and provide recommendations
- CMA or CPA certification
