Senior Accountant

Teal Energi is partnered with a growing company in a dynamic, transaction-driven industry that is seeking a Senior Accountant to support core accounting and back-office operations. This role will focus on financial reporting, billing support, cash management, and process improvement initiatives. The position works closely with cross-functional teams and plays a key role in enhancing reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.

• Perform monthly close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and AR/AP processing
• Support revenue recognition tied to contract-based or usage-driven billing models
• Partner with internal teams to monitor receivables and ensure timely reporting
• Assist with cash management and bank reconciliations
• Support billing operations and high-volume data processing
• Prepare financial statements and assist with internal reporting packages
• Analyze budget vs. actuals and contribute to forecasting activities
• Identify process improvement opportunities and support system enhancements
• Utilize advanced Excel and emerging tools to streamline workflows
• Assist with internal/external audits and compliance-related requests
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners as needed

• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)

• Experience with ISO settlements, particularly ERCOT and PJM.
• Retail Power Business experience strongly preferred.
• Exposure to ERP systems
• Familiarity with automated tools or data analytics technologies
