Position: Full Time Bookkeeper

We’re looking for a highly detail-oriented and analytical Bookkeeper to take ownership of our financial records, job costing, and reporting. The ideal candidate will bring solid accounting experience, with a special focus on job costing, and play a key role in driving financial accuracy and business performance in a fast-paced service-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately record financial transactions in Quick Books (Online or Desktop)
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, vendor statements, and job-related costs
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments
  • Track and allocate all job-related direct and indirect costs (labor, materials, subcontractors, etc.)
  • Partner with the field operations manager to ensure accurate labor and resource tracking
  • Create and maintain job costing structures aligned with company pricing and project models
  • Identify and flag cost variances, margin issues, or job overruns proactively
  • Prepare weekly job costing reports segmented by job, technician, and department
  • Deliver variance analysis comparing projected vs. actual costs
  • Generate and analyze reports for cash flow, profitability, and financial health to aid decision-making
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready records that comply with company policy and regulatory requirements
  • Support external accountants and CPAs with financial reports, documentation, and tax preparation
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in construction, home services, or installation-based industries
  • Hands-on experience with job costing for multiple concurrent service or installation jobs
  • Proficiency in Quick Books (Online or Desktop) and Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet recurring deadlines
  • Bonus:
