Compile monthly income statements and verify supporting documents for accuracy. Review monthly financial results and investigate any variances from historical trends or operational reports. Maintain organized work papers that clearly reflect balance sheet activity and include all necessary documentation. Provide timely and accurate accounting support to our Operations team. Manage vendor payments (utilities, rent, beverage suppliers, etc.) to ensure they're processed on time.
Keep departmental spreadsheets up to date with current financial data. Communicate regularly with the Accounting Manager and Operations team about any issues at specific restaurant locations. Pitch in on special projects, offering financial insights and administrative support as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred. Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Experience preparing manual journal entries as part of the monthly close process.
1-2 years of relevant accounting experience (internships count!). Experience in multi-unit or restaurant accounting is a plus. Familiarity with ERP systems like Oracle, SAP, or Net Suite. Strong communication skills-you know how to explain financial info clearly. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks. A team player who builds positive relationships and listens actively. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
