The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily accounts payable operations to ensure vendor payments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. This role supports the accounting department by maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supervising the AP team to keep processes running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and review high volume invoices to ensure accuracy, proper coding, and supporting documentation
  • Assist with the day-to-day accounts payable workflow, helping prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Manage payment processing, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers
  • Reconcile accounts payable sub‑ledger to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies
  • Review expenses and ensure proper documentation for audits and tax purposes
  • Maintain vendor relationships and assist in resolving payment issues or inquiries
  • Support month‑end and year‑end close processes, including reporting and reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
  • Assist with maintaining accurate records in systems such as Yardi.
  • Support audits and provide requested documentation
  • Provide guidance and support to team members as needed
  • Any other duties assigned by management
Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 7+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience, 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience processing high-volume invoices and payments
  • Familiarity with accounting systems (Yardi preferred)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
