Revenue Accountant

Job Summary

Revenue Accountant located in Houston, Texas. This role supports revenue recognition activities in accordance with ASC 606, with a solid understanding of downstream accounting and reporting impacts. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining revenue schedules, managing subscription billing data in Zuora, developing revenue reports and ad‑hoc analyses in Tableau, and assisting with accounting compliance reporting, audits, and internal controls related to revenue processes.

• Support revenue recognition activities in accordance with ASC 606.
• Prepare and maintain revenue schedules, including roll‑forwards, unwinds, reclassifications, and supporting documentation.
• Utilize Zuora to manage subscription billing data and resolve system‑related challenges impacting revenue accounting.
• Develop and deliver revenue reports and ad‑hoc analyses using Tableau and other reporting tools to support internal stakeholders.
• Assist with accounting compliance reporting, audits, and internal controls related to revenue processes.
• Respond to frequent ad‑hoc requests from Finance, Accounting, and business partners, providing clear and accurate financial insights.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support process improvements and ensure data accuracy across systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of revenue accounting experience, preferably within large, complex organizations.
• Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles and their practical application.
• Hands‑on experience with Zuora (strongly preferred), particularly in subscription or billing‑based revenue models.
• Experience preparing revenue roll‑forwards, reconciliations, and compliance‑related reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple moving parts in a highly complex environment.

The approximate pay range for this position is between $54.00 and $78.00 per hour. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
