- The ideal candidate has experience on large-scale EPC or industrial construction projects and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities. They should be highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple tasks while supporting a small team responsible for coordinating work across approximately a high volume of subcontractors.
We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Engineer to support projects by managing cost reporting, forecasting, and project performance analysis. This is a back-office role focused on compiling, validating, and analyzing project cost data to support accurate reporting and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain cost reports for next 2 construction phases of this project using ADVANCED Microsoft Excel.
- Compile and validate cost data received from the EPC team.
- Analyze project costs, rates, earned value, and forecasting data to identify trends and variances.
- Develop and distribute recurring project cost reports for project leadership.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of cost management data and reporting.
- Work closely with Project Controls and the EPC team to support forecasting and cost performance analysis.
- 10+ years of Project Controls or Cost Controls experience on large capital, EPC, LNG, refinery, petrochemical, or industrial construction projects.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to quickly learn and navigate complex workbooks.
- Strong understanding of project cost reporting, forecasting, earned value management (EVM), and cost performance metrics.
- Experience working with cost management systems and interpreting project financial data.
- Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate findings through clear, accurate reporting.
