Senior Accountant

We are partnering with a growing, multi-billion-dollar energy company in their search for a Senior Accountant. We are specifically seeking an early career candidate with two to four years of public accounting experience that includes oil & gas clients.

This is a tightknit and collaborative team, and the Senior Accountant will enjoy a broad range of responsibilities. The Senior Accountant role provides the opportunity to deepen your corporate accounting knowledge as well as gain hands on experience with operational finance metrics and reports.

• Assist with corporate accounting entries such as ARO, DD&A, PP&E and more
• Assist with monthly/quarterly/annual close process and preparation of the financial statements
• Assist with fulfilling requests for the annual audit and tax filings
• Variance analysis and monthly management reporting
• Over time, work with landmen and engineers for operational reports regarding various KPIs and metrics for upstream and midstream assets
• Other ad hoc responsibilities and projects as they arise

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited four-year university
• Master of Accountancy/MBA/M.S. Finance is desirable but not required
• CPA eligible and progression towards CPA license is preferred
• 2
  -4 years of experience with a public accounting firm that includes experience working on engagements for oil & gas companies
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Enthusiastic and analytical with excellent communication skills
