Job Details

Salary: $95 - $105 per hour

Responsibilities

Managing all aspects of revenue accounting, including preparation and review of monthly revenue and deferred revenue journal entries.

Conducting regular audits to ensure revenue is accurately recorded and reported.

Collaborating with the operations and finance teams to understand and analyze production volumes, sales, and pricing.

Assisting in the implementation of new revenue recognition standards and procedures.

Providing consulting services to clients in the Energy industry, including advising on best practices for revenue accounting and financial reporting.

Overseeing the monthly close process for revenue, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in a timely manner.

Preparing and presenting financial reports and analyses to senior management and clients.

Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Staying up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and standards.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

At least 5+ years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably in the Energy industry.

Strong knowledge of Operated/Non-Operated Wells, and Quorum systems.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues before they arise.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with other financial software.

CPA certification or progress toward obtaining CPA certification is preferred.
