* Responsible for monthly and yearly accounting close processes
* Review financial statements and perform account reconciliations for irregularities
* Analyze budgets and create expense reports
* Examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns
* Assist in financial and tax audits
* Oversee payroll and provide backup when necessary
* Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets, liabilities and expenses)
* Maintain job costing and related documentation
* Analyze transactions with internal and external stakeholders
* Review internal controls and address any deficiencies as needed
* Maintain financial data accuracy and integrity
* Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
* Report to the Controller and work to improve financial processes
* Accounting Degree Required
* 2-5 years of accounting experience required.
* Familiarity with job costing, WIP reporting, and construction billing processes preferred.
* CPA or CPA candidate a plus
* Experience with construction accounting software such as Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint Vista, Foundation, CMiC, or similar systems preferred.
* Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel; very good with spreadsheets
* Proficiency in MS Excel and other related MS Office products
* Knowledge of an accounting information system is a plus
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Attention to detail
* Strong organizational and communication skills
