What does the job involve?
Responsible for preparing and maintaining accounting records and ledger for use in historical financial reporting. Responsible for compliant and efficient preparation of statutory and other special purpose reporting, and preparation of consolidated financial information. Ensure compliance and quality in historical financial data and reporting. Drive competence and development for relevant topics.
You are utilizing your knowledge to independently solve complex tasks with a short-term operational or tactical impact/risk. You deliver on tasks defined by others (and potentially partly defined by you) with significant impacts on team objectives. You independently communicate within the immediate team, across different areas, and towards key stakeholders, including partners or external parties. You may navigate potentially conflicting agendas.
You adhere to established procedures and identify as well as resolve challenges. You proactively seek continuous improvement, embrace change and ambiguity, demonstrate flexibility to adopt new activities and ways of working, and take ownership of your own work. You follow and comply with safety, ethics, and compliance requirements and align with leadership expectations and company values.
- PRA Subject Matter Expert
- Responsible for accurate and timely Federal ONRR royalty accounting, payments, and compliance reporting.
- Process state severance tax accounting, payments, and compliance reporting.
- Assist in resolving complex PRA processing issues.
- Provide audit support as needed.
- Prepare SOX and Key Control documentation monthly and quarterly.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliation.
- Assist in resolving complex PRA processing issues and other PRA activities, including Settlement Diversity;
Master Data Setup;
Plus Pack Enhancements Functionality;
Journal Entry Upload Templates – Creation & Testing; PRA/FI Interface;
Prior Period Adjustments;
Production System/SAP PRA Interface;
Pricing Data/SAP PRA Interface; check write review processing; manual JIB netting and other revenue enquiries when required.

- 3 – 5 years of experience as an Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience in oil and gas upstream accounting
- Experience in Production Revenue Accounting a plus
- Experience in ONRR compliance a plus
- IFRS knowledge, with SOX key controls framework
- Experience with SAP, SBC, other relevant FC tools like FA, SPC, Blackline, etc.
- Communication skills (Performance Management, Financial Reporting, Controllers, Accounting Managers)
- Analytical skills, data extraction, processing, presentation
- High level of proactivity and autonomy, avid collaborator
