Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Controller to support the company's financial operations and reporting. This position will assist with accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, project cost tracking, internal controls, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple business entities and large industrial projects.

- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and analyze balance sheet accounts.
- Review general ledger transactions and ensure accounting accuracy.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Assist with journal entries and account analysis.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and profitability.
- Assist with revenue recognition and project financial reporting.
- Analyze project margins and identify cost variances.
- Support project managers with financial information and reporting.
- Review purchase orders, vendor invoices, and project allocations.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Prepare financial analyses and management reports.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital.
- Develop KPI reports and financial dashboards.
- Analyze operational expenses and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with external audits and tax preparation.
- Maintain accounting policies and internal controls.
- Support compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Ensure proper documentation and record retention.
- Assist with sales tax and other regulatory filings as required.
- Assist in monitoring cash balances.
- Support wire transfers and banking reconciliations.
- Help maintain financing schedules and debt records.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting and financial processes.
- Assist with accounting system enhancements.
- Develop and maintain financial procedures and documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2-5 years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP or accounting software (Quick Books, Net Suite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- CPA candidate or working toward CPA certification.
- Experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, energy, or industrial projects.
- Experience with project accounting.
- Knowledge of sales tax and multi-state accounting is a plus.
