This Payroll Specialist I opportunity is suited to candidates with strong corporate payroll experience who can operate accurately in a deadline-driven environment. The Payroll Specialist I will support high-volume payroll activity, working across multi-state employee populations while maintaining a strong focus on audit, reconciliation, accuracy and service. This role offers the chance to contribute to a busy payroll function where organisation, communication and problem-solving are essential.

- Support the processing of biweekly and monthly payrolls for a large employee population across multiple states.
- Reconcile earnings, deductions and taxes, and complete payroll audit activity with a high level of accuracy.
- Work with managers to support timely approval of worked time for non‑exempt employees.
- Process payroll input, on‑demand payments and manual payments as required.
- Complete payroll tax adjustments, company reclasses, W-2 corrections, and garnishment or tax levy set‑ups as needed.
- Run and review payroll-related audit activity, integrations, and election set‑up checks.
- Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and internal stakeholders while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Assist with payroll check and pay slip distribution and support additional project work as assigned.
- 2 years of corporate payroll processing experience.
- General knowledge of payroll principles, including overtime and tax withholding calculations.
- Strong Excel and Word skills.
- Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and mathematical ability.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and listening skills.
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to manage strict daily deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast‑paced environment.
- Flexibility to work additional hours when required.
- Willingness to work in the office during the training period and as needed.
