Payroll Specialist

Insight Global is seeking a Payroll Specialist I to join the team at a large oil & gas company in Houston, Texas. The Payroll Specialist I is responsible for processing biweekly and monthly payroll for approximately 1,200–2,000 employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy through the reconciliation of earnings, deductions, and taxes, running payroll audits, and preparing reconciliations for management review and approval.

This role partners with managers to ensure timely approval of non-exempt employee time, performs payroll data entry and maintenance, processes payroll tax adjustments, company reclasses, on-demand and manual payments, and executes employee data loads and payroll integrations. Additional responsibilities include maintaining tax and payment elections, processing W-2 corrections, administering garnishment and tax levy setups, distributing payroll checks and pay statements, managing payroll case management activities and employee inquiries, supporting Human Resources and Benefits teams with payroll-related questions, and contributing to special projects and other duties as assigned.

This role is a 12-month contract with extension or hire with a hourly pay rate of $26.10.
