Accounting Manager
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting management with financial information. Will work closely with ownership and department managers to provide accurate financial information, improve profitability, manage working capital, and ensure the company's financial health.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure financial reports are accurate and completed on schedule.
- Budgets, CMS, KPI's, Sales Reports/Projections, etc
- Analyze and explain variances to management.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts
- Monitor budget performance.
- Analyze departmental spending.
- Analysis by customer and product
Accounting Management
- Oversee the general ledger/chart of accounts. Journal entries.
- Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure proper revenue and expense recognition.
- Supervise A/R invoicing.
- Monitor customer aging reports.
- Create and manage procedures for collections and delinquent accounts.
- Establish and monitor customer credit limits.
- Work with sales personnel on credit-related issues.
- Vendor invoice processing and payment.
- Review vendor statements and resolve differences.
- Manage payment schedules, cash flow and vendor relationships.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies. Recommend process improvements.
- Monitor day to day activities.
- Identify and reduce financial risks.
- Monitor daily cash balances.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts.
- Manage banking relationships.
- Produce weekly payroll and maintain records.
- Ensure payroll tax compliance.
- Review employee benefits deductions.
$80,000 - $90,000 a year
