Accountant (Manufacturing Environment

Meador an Openwork Company is currently engaged in a search to find a direct hire Staff Accountant for a company located in the South Houston /Hobby area.

The accountant participates in compiling financial reporting, compliance, general ledger reconciliation, budgeting and financial analysis. This role is essential for maintaining financial health and ensuring adherence to GAAP standards.

• Participate in the preparation of month-end/year-ed closing
• Maintains and updates journal entries and general ledger
• Reconciles bank accounts
• Monitors accounts payable/receivable to ensure accurate and timely payments
• Evaluates financial operations, identifies risks, and recommends improvements for cost reduction and profit maximization
• Assists in other functions of the accounting department such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections and billing
• Collaborate with other departments in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for future financial cycles
• Utilizes accounting software
• Perform other duties as requested by management

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting – REQUIRED
• 5+ years of accounting experience - REQUIRED
• Manufacturing/Industrial Environment, PREFERRED

• Fully in office

• Salary: $85K-$95K
