Tax Associate

I'm partnering with a growing, multi-entity organization that is looking to add a Tax Associate to its corporate tax team. This is an excellent opportunity to work directly with senior leadership while gaining exposure to federal, state, and local tax matters.

• Support federal and state income tax compliance
• Manage sales & use tax, property tax, and transaction tax processes
• Coordinate state and local tax audits and respond to taxing authority notices
• Perform monthly tax account reconciliations
• Maintain tax records, exemption certificates, and supporting documentation
• Manage business registrations and licensing requirements
• Research tax issues and monitor changes in federal, state, and local tax legislation
• Partner with internal teams and external tax advisors on compliance and reporting
• Identify process improvements and tax savings opportunities

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of corporate tax experience
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance
• Experience with sales & use tax, property tax, and transaction tax
• Hands-on experience with Avalara or other tax automation software is highly preferred
• Experience with tax account reconciliations and tax reporting
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment
