Beyond International Group is seeking a Property Accountant / Staff Accountant to support full-cycle accounting for a growing portfolio of multifamily and commercial real estate assets. This role is heavily systems-driven and requires strong, hands-on proficiency in Yardi Voyager (7S and/or
8), as candidates will be responsible for maintaining accurate property-level financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring data integrity across the Yardi platform. The ideal candidate has direct experience of accounting for both multifamily and commercial (office, retail, or mixed-use) properties and is comfortable working across multiple entities and asset types simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a power-user of Yardi Voyager (7S/8), maintaining accurate general ledger, tenant/resident ledger, and vendor data for assigned properties.
  • Set up and maintain new properties, leases, and chart of accounts within Yardi in accordance with company standards.
  • Run, troubleshoot, and audit Yardi reports (trial balance, GL detail, rent roll, AR/AP aging, budget comparison) to ensure data accuracy prior to close.
  • Utilize Yardi modules relevant to commercial assets (Recovery/CAM, Job Cost, Fixed Assets) as well as multifamily-specific functionality (resident ledgers, unit turns, concessions).
  • Partner with the systems/IT team on Yardi upgrades, integrations, and process improvements, including migration-related data validation.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for a mixed portfolio of multifamily and commercial properties.
  • Lead month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, prepaid schedules, and bank/balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice coding, vendor payments, and cash receipts posting.
  • Calculate and reconcile Common Area Maintenance (CAM), percent rent, insurance, and real estate tax recoveries for commercial leases.
  • Review multifamily rent rolls, concessions, and delinquency reports in coordination with onsite property management teams.
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules, including depreciation, capital expenditure tracking, and reconciliation of capital improvement/renovation projects.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis by property, working closely with Property Managers, Senior Property Managers, and the Controller.
  • Assist with external audits, lender reporting, and tax package preparation by compiling supporting schedules and documentation.
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies across owner, corporate, and property-level accounts in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 2-5+ years of property accounting experience, with direct exposure to both multifamily and commercial real estate strongly preferred.
  • Advanced, hands-on proficiency in Yardi Voyager 7S and/or 8 is required - please be prepared to speak to specific modules used (Recovery/CAM, Job Cost, Fixed Assets, AP, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of GAAP as applied to real estate (straight-line rent, CAM/recovery structures, accruals, fixed assets).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, financial modeling).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple properties, asset types, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable collaborating with property management, asset management, and executive teams.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Active pursuit of CPA designation a plus.
Pay Range
  • Annual Salary Base pay: $60,000 - $75,000.00 – 25.00 DOE
