TBG | The Bachrach Group is partnered with a leading global transportation services company on their search for a Senior Corporate Accountant
. This role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records, leading critical aspects of the month-end close process, supporting consolidated reporting as well as ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal control requirements. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment along with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field.
CPA or progress toward a CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Lead assigned components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, allocations, reclassifications, and other general ledger transactions.
- Complete and analyze balance sheet reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Perform financial statement and budget-to-actual variance analyses, identifying trends, unusual transactions, and key business drivers.
- Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements, including intercompany activity and foreign currency transactions.
- Prepare supporting schedules for cash flow, equity, fixed assets, debt, and other corporate accounting activities.
- Support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, disclosures, work papers, and regulatory filings, as applicable.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company accounting policies, internal controls, and SOX requirements.
- Partner with Finance, FP&A, Operations, Tax, and external auditors to support reporting requirements and annual audits.
- Maintain accurate accounting documentation and recommend process improvements that strengthen efficiency, consistency, and internal controls.
- Participate in ERP enhancements, system implementations, and other finance transformation initiatives.
- Perform special projects and other accounting responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required;
Master's degree preferred. - Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- 1 year of experience within public accounting, aviation, aerospace, transportation, or other asset-intensive industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Experience with multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions.
- Familiarity with foreign currency accounting and international operations is preferred.
- Knowledge of SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics;
One Stream or Hyperion experience is preferred. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Schedule:
ONSITE during training (hybrid split 3 in-office, 2 WFH)
Salary range: $90,000 to $105,000 DOE, plus bonus eligible
