Senior Revenue Accountant

INSPYR Solutions is partnering with an established oil and gas company to find a seasoned Revenue Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, extensive experience with oil and gas revenue processes, and hands‑on expertise using SAP revenue accounting modules. In this role, you will lead the month‑end recording and reconciliation of oil and gas sales revenue, ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data, collaborate with both internal teams and external partners, and support comprehensive revenue reporting and compliance efforts.

• Record monthly oil and gas sales and revenue transactions in SAP, including revenue accruals and uploads into relevant SAP modules (e.g., PRA).
• Apply cash receipts accurately and timely by property and purchaser.
• Ensure revenue is recorded correctly by contractual rates and ownership interest.
• Perform detailed revenue, volume, and pricing reconciliations.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts related to oil and gas receivables, payables, and accruals.
• Prepare and submit regulatory filings, royalty reports, and partner invoices.
• Support revenue reporting, federal/state royalty reporting, and month‑end close activities.
• Provide documentation support for audits and internal controls.
• Work closely with Marketing, Operations, Land, and Production teams to resolve issues and validate data.
• Suggest and implement process improvements and efficiency gains in revenue accounting and SAP workflows.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Typically 3+ years of experience in oil and gas revenue accounting (or related accounting roles).
• Proven hands‑on experience with SAP accounting systems, including revenue modules.
