Tax Manager - Consultant

A public manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Tax Consultant with strong ASC 740 expertise to support income tax accounting and reporting. This role will work closely with corporate accounting and finance leadership to ensure accurate tax provisions, disclosures, and audit support in a regulated, public-company environment.

This engagement is ideal for someone with deep technical tax knowledge who is comfortable operating in a SOX-compliant, SEC-reporting setting.

• Prepare and review ASC 740 income tax provisions
  , including current and deferred tax calculations
• Support quarterly and annual tax provision processes for a public company
• Assist with income tax footnote disclosures and supporting schedules for SEC filings
• Analyze uncertain tax positions (UTPs) and valuation allowances
• Partner with internal accounting teams and external auditors on tax-related matters
• Support SOX documentation and audit requests related to income taxes
• Research and resolve technical tax accounting issues as they arise

• Strong hands-on experience with ASC 740 / income tax accounting
• Background in public accounting, corporate tax, or consulting
• Experience supporting a public company environment preferred
• Solid understanding of GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX controls
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work under deadlines
• Strong documentation and communication skills

• CPA or equivalent certification
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Prior involvement with external audits and SEC filings
