SEC Reporting Accountant

LHH is partnering with a publicly traded Houston-based organization to identify a SEC Reporting Accountant. This role is ideal for an accountant with public accounting and/or industry experience who is interested in financial reporting, SEC filings, and corporate accounting. The position offers strong growth potential, exposure to a variety of reporting responsibilities, and the opportunity to work with an experienced accounting and finance team.

• Assist with SEC filings including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, and related disclosures
• Prepare and maintain supporting schedules, tie-outs, roll forwards, and audit support documentation
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Administer stock compensation activities and related disclosures
• Maintain equity, goodwill, and non-controlling interest schedules
• Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting dashboards
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external auditors on reporting requirements
• Research accounting issues and support technical accounting processes
• Contribute to ad hoc financial reporting and analysis projects

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Approximately 2+ years of public accounting experience, ideally with exposure to SEC reporting
• Additional industry experience is a plus
• Understanding of financial statements, SEC filings, and financial reporting requirements
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
• CPA or CPA-track preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
