Senior Accountant

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SUNSTRONG MANAGEMENT

Sun Strong Management is currently searching for a Senior Accountant to be responsible for various areas of general accounting operations for multiple asset‑managed portfolios. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position will require the completion of various monthly, quarterly, and annual close tasks, including the preparation of periodic journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.

• Perform the accounting processes and functions required to maintain the general ledger in compliance with US GAAP and the applicable Company’s policies.
• Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities to ensure timely financial reporting and compliance.
• Prepare periodic journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses of financial and other information for members of management, external auditors, service providers, and other stakeholders as applicable to supplement

• Bachelor's degree with an accounting concentration
• 3+ years of financial accounting experience or auditing, preferably with Big4 accounting firm
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task across multiple portfolios and prioritize critical deadlines
• A team player that has knowledge and experience in US generally accepted accounting principles and is driven to challenge that status quo, meet deadlines, and increase efficiency
• Ability to implement accounting processes for newly onboarded portfolios based on understanding developed from review of historical financial information, operating agreements, purchase and sale agreements, debt agreements, etc.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• CPA certification
• Experience in renewable energy industry
• Familiarity with core accounting concepts within ASC
  606 and ASC
  805
• Previous experience using Microsoft Dynamics, Xero, and/or Ramp
• Experience with accounting for multi-tiered legal structures and partnership accounting

• Overtime as required
