The Tax Analyst'sresponsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to:
- Prepare Federal corporation and partnership income tax returns using tax compliance software, including preparation of supporting work papers.
- Preparation of data necessary for the processing of Enterprise Product’s publicly traded partnership’s Schedules K-1 including computations of taxable income and other supporting calculations.
- Analyze property, plant and equipment transactions to determine tax treatment, including work with fixed asset software to track asset related transactions.
- Prepare taxable income projections and estimated tax vouchers.
- Assist with ASC 740 compliance including preparation of income tax accruals, including preparation of supporting work papers.
- Assisting with and preparing documentation required for internal and external audits.
- Researching and interpreting tax issues and changes in tax laws and regulations, including documenting relevant positions.
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required; CPA or CPA eligible is preferred.
- MBA or Masters in Taxation are a plus.
- One to three years of progressive tax experience within a public accounting firm and/or corporate tax department of a large publicly traded organization is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines.
- Basic understanding of IRC subchapter K and how it applies to partnerships.
- Solid systems skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access; exposure to Accounting and Tax software such as Oracle and Onesource is a plus. Experience with technology tools such as Alteryx is also a plus.
- Research skills with common tax research platforms and documenting positions is a plus.
