DescriptionPosition Summary
We are seeking a Director ofCorporate
Accounting.
This pivotal role will oversee our corporate accounting functions and financial consolidation processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategicfinancial management for our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the corporate accounting function and financial consolidation processes, including themonth-end and year-end close processes, ensuringtimelyandaccuratefinancial reporting, includingoversight of the preparation and maintenance of account reconciliations
- Assistwiththe preparation of monthlyconsolidatedfinancial statements and annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Manage all corporate (non-operational) accounting processes, including multi-entity consolidations and intercompany transactions
- Develop,implement and documentaccounting policies, procedures, and internal controls tomaintainfinancial integrity and compliance.
Assist with the research and documentation of new accounting pronouncements and technical memos. - Work with our IT function to ensure our ERP systems (Infor Syte Line ERP) are managed andmaintainedappropriately,overseethe implementation and optimization of financial reporting and consolidation systems.
- Collaborate with senior management toprovidestrategic financial insights and support decision-making processes
- Manage relationships with finance and treasury,operationsandexternal auditors
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA certification required
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, with a focus on corporate accounting,consolidationsand reporting
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP, with a strong understanding of financial reporting requirements
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices in financial management
- Proven track recordin managing and developing high-performing accounting teams
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members
- Strong strategic thinking,analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to align financialobjectiveswith overall business goals.
- Keen attention to detail
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively interacting with all levels of management
- Ability to research and document technical accounting matters and transactions
