Staff Accountant

Description Cindy Bradley at Robert Half is actively setting up interviews for our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their growing accounting team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their accounting career beyond accounts payable and gain exposure to journal entries, general ledger accounting, and month-end close activities. The organization operates globally with numerous international locations and offers a clear path for detail oriented growth and advancement. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, eager to learn, and comfortable working through system and process improvements as the company prepares for a significant systems upgrade.

Key Responsibilities Process and manage high-volume Accounts Payable transactions (75-100 invoices per day) Review and process vendor rebate discounts and invoice adjustments Prepare and post journal entries Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Assist with general ledger accounting Support month-end close activities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data Participate in process improvement initiatives and future ERP/system implementations Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 2+ years of accounting experience, including Accounts Payable Experience processing high-volume transactions Strong understanding of reconciliations, journal entries, and general accounting principles Advanced Excel skills required (assessment will be administered through Robert Half)

Experience with ERP systems required; exposure to multiple ERP platforms is highly desirable

Experience with Oracle, Sage, or similar accounting systems preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to adapt to changing processes and systems Requirements BA degree Accounting or Finance High volume processing of AP Advanced Excel skills
