Accounting Manager

Growing distribution-focused business is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations, supervise a small team, and serve as a key business partner to the CFO. This role is ideal for an experienced accountant who enjoys owning the month-end close process, delivering accurate financial reporting, and providing inventory and operational accounting support.

Responsibilities

+ Lead the full accounting cycle, month-end close, and preparation of monthly financial statements and reporting packages.

+ Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.

+ Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and balance sheet analyses.

+ Oversee inventory accounting, costing analysis, and reporting for distribution operations.

+ Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting.

+ Supervise and develop a team of 2 Accounting Clerks.

+ Support year-end audit and external accounting requirements.

+ Partner directly with the CFO on financial reporting, analysis, and process improvements.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with full-cycle accounting through financial statement preparation.

+ Strong inventory accounting, costing, and financial analysis experience.

+ Background within manufacturing, distribution, or a related industry.

+ Previous supervisory experience preferred.

+

Experience with mid-to-large ERP systems such as Net Suite, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar.

+ Advanced Excel skills.

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
