We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly skilled Interim Senior Accountant to join our team in the energy services industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals and utilize your technical expertise in a fast-paced, challenging environment. This position requires a high level of competency in accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in variance analysis, month-end close, financial reporting, and technical accounting. Accounting Degree is required.

Immediate Need - NW Houston
- Interim Senior Accountant

• Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Performing month-end close procedures, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
• Assisting with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing variances between actuals and forecasts.
• Preparing and presenting financial reports to management, highlighting trends, and analyzing variances.
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Assisting with the preparation and coordination of the audit process.
• Providing technical accounting guidance and support to other departments.
• Staying updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.
• Participating in special projects and implementing process improvements as needed.

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
• CPA certification.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the energy industry.
• Proficiency in variance analysis, month-end close, financial reporting, and technical accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
