- Process full-cycle payroll for employees on a weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly basis.
- Review and verify timesheets, hours worked, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation.
- Calculate and process payroll deductions, garnishments, benefits, taxes, and other with holdings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records.
- Process new hires, terminations, salary changes, direct deposit updates, and other employee changes.
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and timely in accordance with established deadlines.
- Reconcile payroll reports, payroll-related accounts, and general ledger activity.
- Prepare and review payroll reports and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Support the preparation of W-2s, 1099s, and other year-end payroll reporting.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Respond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, benefits, and payroll discrepancies.
- Research and resolve payroll issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information.
- Assist with payroll audits and provide documentation as needed.
- Partner with HR, Accounting, and other departments to ensure accurate employee and payroll data.
